RCC takes note of the latest developments on the transmission of COVID-19 infection based on reports from the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH). Following the sudden increase in COVID-19 cases in Sarawak and the declaration of Kuching as red zone on 27 October 2020, RCC is very concerned for the safety of the staff and students.
Taking into account the changes in the current situation and referring to the latest notification from Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) dated 26 October 2020, the ministry is concerned about the health, safety and well-being of students, staff and all parties involved.
In this regard, RCC has decided to postpone the operation to students from 28 October 2020 until further announcements from MOHE from time to time.
All RCC students are required to take note and follow the instructions as follows:
1) All students are not allowed to enter the campus premises.
2) All new and old students are required to continue their studies via online. All face-to-face meetings are postponed.
3) All student activities planned to be implemented in the near future should be temporarily postponed including all activities that have been approved by the college previously. For students who have been in hostel and are currently pursuing academic activities, students can remain in the hostel.
RCC will continue to monitor the situation closely for any further announcements from MOHE. Let us all do our part in flattening the curve and take preventative measures. Please stay safe and stay healthy. We will get through this together.
