In this course the student will learn the followings:

• Windows 2000 professional is an operating system introduced by Microsoft Corp that includes the best features of Windows NT 4.0 Workstation and Windows 98 with many other additional features.

o The students will learn about the Windows 2000 Professional architecture, and its installation.
o The course also covers how to configure the environment of Windows 2000 Professional.
o The course also covers administrative tasks performed in Windows 2000 Professional.
• Windows 2000 Server is an operating system, introduced by Microsoft Corp., that is built on the New Technology (NT) of Windows NT 4.0. The need for a more secure, scalable, enterprise-level, and stable operating system led to the evolution of Windows 2000 Server. It is an ideal server version for a diversified range of application deployments, workgroups, and branch offices
o The student will learn about the installation and configuration of Windows 2000 Server.
o This course also explains the networking concepts in Windows 2000 Server, Active Directory Services (ADS), and the process of managing access to resources.
o Students will also learn about implementing terminal services and remote access, securing and optimizing Windows 2000 Server, and recovering it from disaster.
